New World Special Updates
The New World Special Updates project is used in Tyler Deploy to push special items out to the customer base. The first type (or channel) of this project adds/updates special Utility Management table indexes for better performance with later versions of Microsoft SQL Server.
It is recommended that all Utility Management customers on version 2019.1 of New World ERP apply this update. This update is recommended to be applied after hours as it can degrade performance when running and can take anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of hours to run, depending on data set sizes.

SQL Server uses indexes, database statistics, database compatibility levels and other factors to determine how to best run SQL queries via execution plans. In version 2019.1, the databases have been optimized to use later compatibility levels than SQL Server 2012. This requires index updates that were separated from the deployment itself because of how much time they could take to deploy. As such, this is a complementary update to version 2019.1.

All clients have been subscribed to this update in Tyler Deploy. To configure the project, log into Tyler Deploy as you would to apply a New World ERP patch.
From the hamburger menu, choose to configure the New World Special Updates project, choose an environment type and enter your service user and password you would use for New World ERP.
After saving the values on this screen and clicking Go to Deployment, the user will be able to deploy the update or schedule the deployment for a later date and time. (See Appendix A for a view of the deployment screen.)

Nothing. Indexes will be updated in the database for tables that you may not use. The update would be harmless.

If you are not a Utilities customer, you do not need to apply this update. We highly recommend that Utilities customers apply this update.

This update is recommended to be run after hours, as it can run in anywhere from a couple minutes to a matter of hours, depending on the amount of data in the database. Tyler Deploy updates can be scheduled, so the deployment of this update could be scheduled at your site for an unattended deployment.

As mentioned previously, running this update during business hours can affect Utility Management processing inside of the ERP application and general ERP application performance.
In the channel field, choose UM Index Update; in the release field, choose the latest version.
Toggling the now/later field allows the update to be applied in the future at a date of your choosing. Choosing to install now would install the update when the Start button is clicked.
